An ultrasound scan is usually performed by a consultant radiologist, who specialises in the cardiovascular field. There are many radiologists within a hospital, but all specialise in different fields, such as:
· If you were having headaches and needed an MRI or a CT scan of the head, then the doctor who would usually read your scans would be a Neuroradiologist. These radiologists specialise in anything to do with heads basically, they also have an in depth knowledge into other areas of the body, but their main speciality would be that of the head and brain.
· If you were having trouble with your hips and knees then you would be seen by a doctor who specialising in orthopaedics and so on.
If you are needing a scan, then there are procedures which you will need to go through before you are able to have one, such as:
· You will need to get a referral letter from either a consultant or a GP, this letter will name the procedure that you need, along with the list of symptoms you have.
· Once you have the letter, then you will need to contact the hospital in question and ask for a price of the procedure and a date when the procedure could be undertaken.
· It is important to remember, that if there is more than one private hospital available within your area, to check out the prices of both, as often the same consultants work within each of the private hospitals.

]]>The music industry has been one of the first global industries to recognise just how powerful the Internet can be in a promotional campaign. Many of the popular musicians in the charts today have been discovered online, through a mixture of their own marketing and tech savvy approach to promotion. Underground and alternative music seems to do especially well in online campaigns, through a word-of-mouth kind of approach that creates a buzz around a band or musician before they are able to get any attention by the mainstream media. Punk rock music would be ideal for online promotion, through social networking sites, YouTube, and dedicated band related websites.
While a lot of people may associate punk rock music with bands like the Clash and the Sex Pistols from the 1970s, there is still a strong punk scene in a lot of big cities around the world today. Any punk bands or managers would be wise to use the Internet as a major part of their promotional campaigns. If a punk band can do basic networking online, has access to some good web design software such as some of the great Xsitepro Templates – then the sky is truly the limit in terms of being noticed and accepted by an online audience. While the music has to be good if a band is to truly succeed, even the best music in the world is useless if there is no-one around to appreciate it.
While online promotion on third party sites is an integral part of success, the first step for any punk band wanting to get some online fans is to build a website. Having your own site with your own unique domain name is the best way to get people to take your band seriously, and also hopefully end up getting you some direct industry attention. Having access to good quality website designing software is crucial for any band that wants to do their own site construction and development. The biggest webdesign software on the market is able to consolidate a lot of technology into a single environment, such as the Dreamweaver program or Serif web design software (designfor21st.org/serif-webplusx4-reviews.php) . SEO is also very important, and IMeye Review and similar websites can give you an overview of the best software on the market.
If a punk band is really serious about success then it would be a good idea to employ a good professional webdesign team, and maybe also a team of search engine optimisation (SEO) professionals as well. Exactly what is entailed by good webdesign differs from industry to industry, with some business sites benefiting from very simple and easy to navigate designs. However, for a punk rock band trying to stand out in a saturated marketplace, a richer and more media intensive production environment may be required.

Today the Penny Black is much sought after by stamp collectors with some willing to pay as much as £200 depending on the condition. The first stamp was produced on a sheet without perforations and had to be cut off before use. Postage stamps are used all over the world and many people enjoy stamp collecting as a hobby. All that is needed to begin a stamp collection is a stamp album where stamps (Briefmarken) can be hinge-mounted or a stock book with clear plastic pockets. One very rare stamp is a United States postage stamp the Inverted Jenny which was issued in 1918 with the image of the Curtiss JN-4 airplane in the middle. Unfortunately, the design was printed upside-down making this stamp one of the most famous stamps ever.
Nowadays stamps don’t just feature a picture of the reigning King or Queen as anyone buying stamps will have noticed. Stamps have featured famous bands and Punk Rock bands such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Police and the Sex Pistols to name just a few. By using a Rock Band picture on stamps this has encouraged more people buying stamps. Stamps very often change to celebrate different times of the year particularly at Christmas when the stamps may feature Angels, Shepherds, and the Virgin Mary with Jesus, the Three Kings or perhaps a Snowman, Reindeers or Father Christmas. People buying stamps (Briefmarkenankauf) to post Christmas Cards will perhaps buy a few extra ones to save for themselves because they like the picture. The Royal Mail also produces Commemorative stamps to mark special anniversaries which will only be on sale for a short time. Also stamps featuring wildlife and country scenes can often be purchased. As different Rock Bands become famous many will be pictured on stamps to encourage young fans into buying stamps.

Because these shows have such a big impact it is important that the grounds in which the show is being held is well lit. Most of these Gigs will be held at night and so the lighting is very important. As well as the stage being illuminated by the use of outdoor lighting, outdoor garden lights will be placed in the ground so it is easy for fans to see their way around. Stage lighting can be made even more spectacular by the use of special laser effects, generic and LED fixtures as well as theatrical fog. For fans at the back of the ground, big screens are erected so everybody can see the show and not come away disappointed. Fans very often bring their sleeping bags and food and drink with them. By doing this many of the fans will still be in the grounds well after the Gig has finished. Punk rockers have a very bad reputation because of the bad language they use and the strange way they dress. Wearing clothes that are held together with safety pins and raggy trousers make these fans stand out in a crowd. Also the spiky hair styles often dyed in various colours such as pink, blue or yellow. Some will shave their heads and just have a strip of hair called a Mohican which will be dyed in a bright colour for maximum effect. Also many of the fans will have studs in their lips and noses.
Outdoor lighting has made these Gigs so much better by turning the audience’s attention from one area of the stage to another. Very often if only one member of the rock group is on stage the lighting will just be focused on the one person. Also dimming lights will be used to add special effect and shapes can be altered to create a three-dimensional effect. Scenery on stage can be lit up or maybe just one area of particular interest to the fans. Not only is outdoor lighting and outdoor garden lights used at Rock Gigs they are also used in theatres, for dancing and operas. When people go to see a show inside a theatre, the lighting must be effective to make sure that the characters on stage can be seen. Lighting also sets the mood and a red light will have a completely different effect to a lavender light. By using a blue light night time can be created and the use of gobos are used for moon and stars.
Rock Gig’s are big business so they will be advertised sometimes months in advance. Fans will very often queue all night the day before the tickets go on sale, otherwise they might come away empty handed. The tickets will be sold within the first couple of hours even though they are very expensive. Coach companies also put on special trips to take the fans to see the Gigs so the car parking around the grounds will have outdoor lighting. The music at these punk rock shows is usually very loud and the fans love it. Fans will want to join in and the whole atmosphere can be electrifying. Some fans can get so carried away by it all they faint or become sick and an ambulance is always ready to deal with any emergencies that need more than just first aid.

Ever since the beginning of German punk rock with bands like ‘Big Balls and the Great White Idiot’ from right here in Hamburg, there had been a good following for punk music and the punk lifestyle. As every one knows, punk hit its peak in the late 1970?s and early 80?s. What everyone doesn’t realise is that there has been a small and dedicated following ever since. However the scene is fairly splintered these days, with separate groups of people forming little communities often around their own bands. The gig this weekend was a chance for all us punks to come together and celebrate as one, like we used to back in the old days. It was going to be great, and I for one could not wait.
The gig was taking place in a hotel right near the centre of town. Some people were even travelling to the show from outside Hamburg and were shown directions through the zleep.de – Hotels in Germany website. We all met up in a pub that afternoon for a few quiet drinks before the gig. I met a few friends who I hadn’t seen for over 3 years, and it was interesting seeing how every one’s lives had changed over this time. We were chatting so much and drinking a fair bit as well, that the time to go to the gig rolled around really quickly. At about 8pm we all finished up our drinks and walked the 2 blocks to the hotel for the gig, bursting with excitement.
When we got there the support band was just starting, and they got everybody in the mood good and proper. The main act came on at about 10pm, and boy were we all ready for it. The room was full and everybody was hyped up, not to mention tanked up, and ready to rock. I hadn’t pogo-ed in a good few years and loved every minute of it. They played all their old stuff and a few new songs no one knew yet, but they sounded great too. It was a fantastic night all around, not even any trouble with fights or anything. Hopefully the punk scene in Hamburg learnt something that night and more gigs like this will happen in the near future.

The first band that comes to mind with regards to sunglasses is the well known and authentic punk band – The Ramones. The Ramones were hardly ever seen without their sunglasses on their faces, and their shades quickly became an iconic image of the band and what they stood for. The Ramones are often regarded as the first ever punk rock group, an American band in which all members adopted the last name ‘Ramone’ as their stage titles. The Ramones always had an identifiable style; with their shades, leather jackets and ripped denim jeans. The sunglasses especially projected an air of coolness and aloofness that became a crucial part of the band’s image.
Whether it be dior sunglasses or a generic brand from a discount shop, punk bands have always loved the cool look and privacy of a pair of shades. Other notable bands who fashioned sunglasses include The Sex Pistols, The Clash and many post punk bands who liked to wear sunglasses as well. It was a usual sight to see Robert Smith from the Cure in a pair of sunglasses, maybe in Ray-Ban (edel-optics.com/Ray-Ban…html) or something equally stylish. Punk rock is all about the music – at least that is what punk fans are always saying, and it is true most of the time. However, one can not ignore the fact that sunglasses and style in general have helped to distinguish punk music and that fashion has always existed hand in hand with the tunes.

Unlike other love songs, punk love songs somewhat deviate from the traditional love songs. I first found out about punk love songs back in the early 1980’s when I was big into punk and used to pride myself on my huge orange Mohican and my red and black checked trousers with braces to match, I thought I looked wonderful and I had a punk boyfriend to match. My mother was old school and thought that I looked ridiculous, but I just thought that she needed to be up to date with the fashion like me.
It was approaching valentines day in 1982 and I wanted to give my boyfriend a mix tape to show him how much I loved him. It wasn’t very cool as a punk to say ‘I love you’ (Ich liebe dich) to your boyfriend, so I wanted him to know it though a mix tape filled with punk love songs. I put on songs such as – punk rock love and everything sucks when your gone. I thought the tape was great and played it to my mum, she thought that I should have love songs by Rod Stewart and the Beatles, but that would have been totally un-cool.
To accompany my mix tape I also wrote him a love poem, I knew I would never get to read it to him, but I hoped he would understand just how much I loved him, even though our views on life were slightly different to other peoples.
I handed both the mix tape and the love poem to him just after a Friday night out, I had packaged them well so he would be surprised. On the Saturday morning a van arrived at our house, a delivery man walked up the drive holding a bunch of flowers, although it was valentines day I assumed they would be for my mum or sister not me. I was wrong they were from Roger. The card simply read ‘I love you’.

There have been many films and video on demand which have been centred around the punk rock era, the most recent of which is This is England, which gives a realistic portrayal of life in the early 80’s the difficulties of bringing up children as a single parent, and the clash between mods and rockers. Sid and Nancy is another punk rock film about Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy. Sid was born to Anne and John Ritchie in London in 1957, his father worked as a guard at Buckingham Palace. Sid Vicious became the bassist for punk rock band the Sex Pistols. Although having an impact on young people and their lives through music, his life was cut shot due to an overdose of drugs in 1979
The punk rock era lasted until around 1985 and although people do still follow punk today it has never had that influential effect on teenagers as it did at the peak of its success in the late 1970’s early 1980’s. Doc Martin boots are still available to buy, but people choose to wear them as an everyday or work garment rather than because it is fashionable.
There are many DVD Versand which are available on the punk rock era, and there is much in the way of footage of punk rock concerts and such like. All of this can be rented from online video library (Online Videothek), online video libraries are a new way of renting DVDs and can be found on the internet.

It is thought that many of the stars who don’t want to have drastic surgery, go for botox instead, it is rumoured that stars such as Sly Stallone, Cher, Liz Hurley, Joan Rivers, Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Elizabeth Taylor, Cliff Richard and Leslie Ash have all been injected with botox to keep their youthful looks. Some celebrities have become addicted to plastic surgery, and have gone under the knife several times in an attempt to keep themselves looking younger. For some major surgery has transformed them, for others plastic surgery has gone too far. Demi Moore was rumoured to have had thousands of pounds worth of plastic surgery done to her body, and the results were amazing, a body to die for and one that was certainly worth ever penny spent.
Others who are rumoured to have had drastic surgery are film stars such as Micky Rourke. In his film hey day Mickey Rourke was one of hollywoods sexiest men. When 9 and a half weeks came out starring his and Kim Basinger he was hot. Unfortunately Mickey Rourke fell into the trap of having dramatic plastic surgery, it is rumoured by some that it was because he took too many hits in the boxing ring, others just think he went a step too far. Gone are the days when Mickey Rourke looked sexy, its just a case of surviving in the film industry and being recognised for his good films and not his plastic surgery.
Jackie Stallone is rumoured to have gone under the knife on more than one occasion, although it is uncertain how old she really is, as she has a tendency to deny her age. It is thought that she was born in 1921, mother to Sylvester Stallone who is thought to have had dramatic surgery himself. Jackie Stallone is now looking every inch the woman who has tried to keep her looks through cosmetic surgery.
King of pop Michael Jackson is thought to have had drastic surgery over the years, we know for sure that he has had his nose done several times, although Michael denies this. The other surgery is only rumours, and though it is thought that he has had extensive surgery, Michael has never admitted to such surgery.

The first place they tried to get money was the bank. They applied for a small business loan but were turned away because the loan officer said their rock band was a hobby not a small business and they must find funds elsewhere.
The next place the guys tried to find a way to finance their rock band was by finding a sponsor. After searching everywhere for someone to pay their way, they came upon a willing patron. Willie’s Chicken Shak would pay them $100 for every set they played dressed in multicolored chicken suits. This was not what the guys had in mind for their rock band. Although they needed the money, it was not worth the humiliation of the band.
The men gave up on their dream of playing in a successful rock band and went back to their day jobs. Alexander Vanhof went back to his job as a legal counselor for a major accounting firm; Todd Hammershine went back to his job selling cars over at the Toyota dealership. Billy Tourmine was just a butcher once more and Cecil Becker went back to teaching eighth graders at the local middle school.
One day Alexander was loosing focus as he listened to one of his clients go on and on about how they needed to know what to do with all of the money that they were making off the investment they made in Shipping Funds (Schiffsfonds). Alexander zoned back in and began listening to how this man invested his money in these shipping funds and had not only made his money back, but was making so much money he was concerned someone may think he was a criminal. He swore by his fund broker (Fondsvermittler), and Alexander scribbled down the name he gave.
That was it. That was how he and the guys were going to get all the money they needed to finance the rock band. He called Todd, Billy and Cecil and filled them in on the idea. The men pooled together all of the money that they could possibly get together. Alexander then contacted a fund broker to find out all of the details to purchasing shipping funds. The broker was very helpful and the guys were soon joint owners in shipping funds.
Over the next couple of years, they watched their money grow and grow. They went out and got all the sound equipment they could find. They bought a tour bus and had it redone with a custom interior – they even drove the bus across the country and stayed in quite a few expensive hotels. However, the rock band has become more of a hobby on the weekends as the guys are making more money with Shipping Funds (Schiffsfonds) than they ever would in a rock band; they are just not that talented. To find out more about getting a cheap loan (www.kreditfinanzierungen.info) to fund an investment to get your band rocking put in a search on the internet.
